Gigi Gatti is Grameen Foundation USA’s Sr. Director, Program Strategy & Learning. Gigi leads the program strategy team that provides advisory on the technical design for Grameen’s programs in digital financial services, digital innovations in agriculture, women’s economic empowerment and technology for development, Gigi has over 25 years of work experience that crosses the intersections of ICT, banking, insurance, microfinance and development sectors. Some past roles include Grameen’s Tech4Dev Director and Regional Director Asia, Vice President at BPI Globe BanKO, National Officer at the Asian Development Bank, and Professor at the De La Salle University. She holds a Master in Business Administration, a BS in Computer Science, was a Certified Information Systems Auditor, is a Certified Microfinance Expert, and a Climate Reality Leader. Born curious, she enjoys family, books, ideation sessions, old homes, and traveling.
The session will leverage learnings from AgriPath to demonstrate how Human Centred Design (HCD) can be applied to design inclusive Digital Advisory Services (DAS). Our approach to inclusion goes beyond women and youth to also include vulnerable farming communities that are traditionally excluded because of factors such as low literacy levels, cost of data and smart devices, poor connectivity and lack of/ limited mobile infrastructure.
