Dr. Cederström is the Vice President for Research and Learning for Food Enterprise Solutions and Chief of Party for a five-year USAID Feed the Future initiative called Business Drivers for Food Safety. He is also the International Food Aid Representative for the US Dry Bean Council, advising on and advocating for the increased use of high-quality, nutritious food transfers from the United States. Dr. Thoric Cederström is an experienced applied social science professional with over 30 years of experience in primary data collection and analysis using mixed methods, program design, monitoring and evaluation, technical assistance, and policy analysis. He is an expert in sustainable food systems, especially food/nutrition/livelihood security of vulnerable populations, primarily in complex environments that include conflict-prone and post-conflict situations of economic recovery. He is a champion of private sector driven, market-based approaches to malnutrition that involve both private and public sector stakeholders as active partners. Thoric has broad technical experience and expertise in participatory food/livelihood security assessments, quantitative surveys, qualitative research, program design, capacity building, training, and monitoring and evaluation, including anthropometric surveys.
